Join a team that makes you feel welcome from the start. At Ground Control you'll learn real jiu jitsu from the first time you put on your white belt, all the way through to black belt. Train for fun, train in your lunchbreak, train for mental clarity, or train for competition. The choice is yours and the support team is waiting for you. Step 1 - turn up!
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Teens and Kids
Classes are packed with high energy, new friendships and skills practice. Classes are split into age groups catering to everyone under 18.
Most teens are almost adult sized so with parent and coach permission they often prefer to join our adults classes.
From Jitsy PreSchool to recreational classes and competition class, there's truly something for everyone.
No Gi
No Gi is training without the traditional uniform. Our coaches are experienced in No Gi competition (including MMA) so that you get technical training that works. Whether adding it to your Gi training or if you prefer No Gi on it's own, Ground Control offers multiple adults classes plus one kids class each week.
Classes for Women Only
Whilst we've always had ladies in our mixed classes, we once again have a dedicated "girls only" class, a space to explore, express and evolve. This class is open to all females 13yrs to adult, from beginners to advanced. These ladies are already showing promise on the competition circuit

We have 2 kids that train here and love it. Cant keep them away and such a supportive and family orientated environment. Amazing for teaching kids self discipline and confidence while making friends and learning self defence.

Ground control is family run by real community minded people. My daughter is a little low in confidence and attends casually. She has slowly grown in confidence since first attending about 18 months ago. I can’t thank them enough and can highly recommend this place 👍
